 The Women’s Resource Center was founded in July 2003 and is open to all women regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and social status.
The Women’s Resource Center supports women and provides resources to empower them, to encourage their participation in social, political and cultural activities, and to further their personal and professional development.

Currently 240 girls of Georgian and Armenian nationalities are members of our organization. In the beginning, volunteers who focused on teenage girls’ issues staffed the NGO; |

Cultural-Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” - women’s non-governmental organisation - was founded in October 1997 in Kutaisi. The founders are IDP women from Abkhazia: Alla Gamakharia, Mary Gelashvili, Nanuli Ramishvili, and Zhanna Chabukiani. |

WPRC is the legatee of a FEMINIST CLUB – a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan organization which was founded in April of 1998. In 2003 FEMINIST CLUB and Tbilisi State University initiated coalition of non-governmental organizations and individuals – WOMEN’S POLITICAL RESOURCE CENTRE – WPRC.
